When Brad Law first built his gambrel-style farm building northwest of King City, Missouri, he wasn’t trying to build a popcorn empire.
He simply needed a dependable building that fit the way his family farm worked.

Law Farms LLC sits just outside King City, Missouri, where agriculture isn’t simply an occupation—it is a family legacy.
Some of the property has remained in Brad’s mother’s family for more than 100 years, earning recognition as a Missouri Century Farm.

while his wife Megan, a speech-language pathologist with the Lathrop R-II School District, jumps in whenever farm life calls for another pair of hands.

More Than a Building. A Gathering Place.
One of our favorite parts of Brad’s story came after the building was finished.
Like many successful farm families, every square foot gets put to work.
Yes, the building houses popcorn equipment, supplies, and inventory.
But it has become something even more valuable.
When the weather doesn’t cooperate, the building transforms into an indoor practice facility where Brad’s boys, their teammates, and even local all-star teams can keep improving when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate.. Pitching machines come out. Hitting nets go up. Ground balls are fielded. Dreams get a little bigger. There’s even a baseball diamond nestled between the two buildings.
Bryan, one of our own team leaders, remembers bringing his son Lane and his all-star baseball team over to practice there.
That memory perfectly captures something we love about agricultural buildings. They’re rarely built for just one purpose.
They become workshops… Warehouses…Retail stores…Equipment shelters…Family gathering places…And sometimes…
They become the place where the next generation learns to chase a baseball.
Those are the kinds of stories that remind us we aren’t simply constructing buildings.

More Than a Farm Store
One thing that really impressed us about Brad’s vision is that he isn’t building success just for his own family.
Each fall, Law Farms hosts a Fall Festival and Open House that welcomes visitors from across Northwest Missouri.
Admission is free.
Families come to enjoy the farm.
Kids can explore.
Neighbors reconnect.
Local vendors of all ages have an opportunity to showcase and sell their handmade products alongside Brad’s farm offerings.
It’s become something much bigger than a retail event.
It’s a place where community happens.
To us, that’s another example of what thoughtful building design can do.
A building doesn’t just protect what’s inside.
Sometimes it helps bring people together.
